Isgalder - Pagan Metal (2017-2023)

Biography:

Isgalder wurde von Moppel und Grimwald 2017 nach ein paar spontanen Proben gegründet. Nach kurzer Zeit stieß der ehemalige  Wintarnaht Livegitarrist VRCHTR wieder mit hinzu. Isgalder ist Althochdeutsch und bedeutet soviel wie eisiger Gesang oder -Galder (Zaubergesang). Die Band wurde 2023 aufgelöst.

Isgalder was formed by Moppel and Grimwald in 2017 following a few impromptu rehearsals. Shortly afterwards, the former Wintarnaht live guitarist VRCHTR rejoined the band. Isgalder is Old-High-German and roughly translates as ‘icy chant’ or ‘Galder’ (enchanted song). The band disbanded in 2023. 

Morial - Death Metal (1995-1996 / 2016-2019)

Tom: drums (1995-1996).

Biography:

Morial wurde 1995 unter dem Namen Mortal von G. Hate (Grimwald) und Tom gegründet. Nach etwas über einem Jahr wurde die Band 1996 wieder aufgelöst. Man hatte sich musikalisch voneinandner entfernt. G. Hate veröffentlichte 2005 lediglich 13 private Demokassetten für Freunde, darunter die sehr rohen und einzigen Aufnahmen auf Tonband. Sie trugen den Titel „Your Belief in Ruins“ und waren auch als B-Seite (Zugabe) auf der Demo Kassette „Reborn in Endless Hate“ von 2016 zu finden. 2016 änderte ich den Namen in „Morial“, da es wiederum zuviele Bands desgleichen Namens gab. Nach der spontanen Wiederbelebung 2016 und legte die ich die Band 2019 wieder auf Eis. Vielleicht erwacht die Lust auf Death Metal eines Tages wieder…

Morial was founded in 1995 under the name Mortal by G. Hate (Grimwald) and Tom. After just over a year, the band split up 1996. Musically, they had drifted apart. In 2005, G. Hate released just 13 private demo cassettes for friends, including the very raw and only recordings on tape. They were titled “Your Belief in Ruins” and could also be found as a B-side (bonus track) on the 2016 demo cassette “Reborn in Endless Hate”. In 2016, I changed the name to “Morial”, as there were once again too many bands with the same name. Following the spontaneous revival in 2016, I put the band on hold again in 2019. Perhaps the desire for Death Metal will resurface one day…

Schattenthron (2013-2017)

Biography:

Schattenthron enstand aus der Band Idhafels heraus. 2013 gründeten Semgroroth, Ragnar und ich aus langweile die Band, da seit Jahren nichts mit Idhafels voran ging. 2017 wurde Schattenthron zu Grabe getragen, da ich mit Goatruler nicht mehr zusammenarbeiten wollte. Einen anderen Schlagzeuger lehnten die anderen Mitglieder ab.

Schattenthron emerged from the band Idhafels. In 2013, Semgroroth, Ragnar and I formed the band out of boredom, as nothing had been happening with Idhafels for years. In 2017, Schattenthron was disbanded because I no longer wanted to work with Goatruler. The other members refused to accept a different drummer.
